Johan Groothaert has been working in the area of equity derivatives for about 15 years. Prior to joining Luxembourg Financial Group, Johan has held different management positions at Deutsche Bank including heading the global retail product activity of the Global Markets division and the equity structured products activity of the Global Equities division. Before joining Deutsche Bank in 1999, Johan worked at Merrill Lynch International where he was responsible for securitised products in Europe. Johan earned a degree in Engineering from the Catholic University of Leuven and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Alexander Szewald brings 14 years of equity derivatives, structured products and solution structuring experience with him. Before joining Luxembourg Financial Group Alexander was working as Managing Director for Deutsche Bank London, Global Markets Equity. In his last role he was heading the complex asset structuring team where he focused on illiquid investment products in real estate, clean technology and maritime assets. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank Alexander worked at JP Morgan Equity Derivatives, responsible for securitised products and setting up JP Morgan’s retail platform in Europe. Alexander holds a master’s degree in business administration from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration.

Gerald Pittner has been working in the area of structured products for more than 15 years. Prior to joining Luxembourg Financial Group, Gerald was holding the position of a Managing Director at Sal. Oppenheim. Heading global derivative products and structured solutions, he was responsible for the product development and execution of a wide range of retail- and institutional product solutions on various asset classes. Before joining Sal. Oppenheim in 1998, Gerald worked in ING Baring’s structured finance group, focusing on cross border arbitrage, bond origination and specialized trade and commodity finance. Gerald holds a Master’s degree in business administration from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration.

Currently Managing Director and Member of the Board of several financial companies and investment funds in Luxembourg. During his career of four decades in banking he has held leading positions as Managing Director and Senior Vice President in the areas of investment banking, domestic and international lending and syndications, financial structuring, capital markets, investment funds and private banking.He has worked with several major banking institutions in Germany, the US, Great Britain and Luxembourg (among others IKB-Deutsche Industriebank, Germany and Luxembourg, Deutsche Bank Luxembourg, DG-Bank London).His professional education includes the traditional German banking training system and a degree from the New York School of Finance. He graduated with a degree from the Academy for Economics and Administration in Düsseldorf.
